FAQ
Why can't I access Manage Listings or Advanced Analytics?
Manage Listings (viewing, syncing, editing, ending, or relisting listings you've already published) requires a Pro plan or higher. Trial and Starter can still create new listings via the Singles/U-Pick builders — you just can't come back and manage what you published without upgrading.
Advanced Analytics is a separate licensed add-on, independent of your plan tier — it's enabled per-account by Slabster. If you'd like it turned on, submit a ticket below.
Does Card Lookup cost AI credits?
Reading a graded slab's label is free — no AI credit spent, whether it's a PSA cert (verified against PSA's database) or a BGS/SGC label (read and linked out for manual verification). Identifying a raw card or a lot photo costs one AI credit per card found. You can mix slabs and raw cards in the same upload; each photo is routed to the right (free or paid) path on its own.
What pricing data does Slabster show — is it what cards actually sold for?
No. eBay does not make sold/completed-listing price data available to third-party apps, so Slabster's pricing panels (Card Lookup's optional pricing lookup, Listing Analysis) show a range from comparable active eBay listings — lowest/median/average/highest current asking price. Treat this as "what similar cards are asking right now," not "what this card actually sells for." Active asking prices often run higher than real sale prices.
A publish job failed — was I charged?
No. If a publish job fails, the AI/publish credit it used is automatically refunded — you're never charged for a listing that didn't actually get created.
I skipped the onboarding checklist — can I get it back?
Yes — it's not gone. Open Settings → Getting Started any time to see what's left (verify email, connect eBay, configure policies, set up an inventory location, publish a first listing) and pick up where you left off.
How do I…
…connect my eBay account?
- Open Settings.
- Select Connect eBay.
- Sign in to the eBay seller account that will own the listings.
- Approve Slabster access.
- Back in Settings, use Test eBay Connection.
- Load eBay business policies and save the correct policy IDs.
…create a U-Pick listing?
- Open the U-Pick Listing Builder.
- Search the card catalog for your set, or upload card photos directly.
- Let Slabster identify the cards, and review/fix any incorrect fields.
- Select which cards to include.
- Generate the listing title and description, and review them.
- Publish — progress is shown while inventory items, offers, the variation group, and the final eBay listing are created.
…create individual (Singles) listings?
- Open the Singles Listing Builder.
- Upload card photos and let Slabster identify each one.
- Review prices and conditions.
- Generate titles and descriptions.
- Publish — each card becomes its own queued publish job with its own status.
…edit a listing after it's published?
- Open Manage Listings (Pro plan required).
- Click Edit on the listing to open its inline editor.
- Update quantity and price per card, title, description, or the cover photo.
- Save — changes push straight to the live eBay listing.
…identify a card or check a slab's grade?
- Open Card Lookup.
- Upload one or more photos — a slab, a raw card, or a lot photo with several cards.
- Slabster detects what each photo is: slabs are read for free (PSA verified, BGS/SGC linked out); everything else is identified visually.
- Optionally check "Look up eBay pricing" for a comparable-active-listings range per card.
- To actually publish what you find, open the Singles or U-Pick builder and upload the same photo(s) there.

Billing & plans
Plans control monthly AI usage and publish jobs. If your account reaches a plan limit, Slabster blocks new AI calls or publish jobs until the next billing period or until you upgrade. Manage your subscription, payment method, and invoices from Settings.
Image requirements
- Use clear front photos; add back photos when they help show condition or authenticity.
- Keep files under the upload size limit.
- Upload images through Slabster rather than pasting third-party image URLs — Slabster stores them on the platform so eBay can fetch them reliably.
Common publish problems
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| Plan limit reached | Upgrade the plan or wait until the next billing period. |
| Email verification required | Open the verification email, or request a fresh one from Settings. |
| Not connected to eBay | Reconnect eBay in Settings. |
| Policy verify failed | Confirm fulfillment/payment/return policy IDs are valid for the selected marketplace. |
| No merchant location | Create an inventory location in eBay Seller Hub. |
| Category verify failed | Confirm the category ID exists for the selected marketplace. |
| Image resource not found | Re-upload images through Slabster instead of relying on remote URLs. |
| Token error | Disconnect and reconnect eBay in Settings. |
Best practices
- Review every AI identification before publishing.
- Keep U-Pick variation names short and unique — no duplicate card names in the same listing.
- Use realistic prices; AI suggestions are a starting point, not a final price.
- Keep eBay business policies simple and marketplace-specific.
